MOBILE, Ala. (AP) _ Computer Programs and Systems Inc. (CPSI) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $328,000.
On a per-share basis, the Mobile, Alabama-based company said it had profit of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 34 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 57 cents per share.
The healthcare information technology company posted revenue of $67.9 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $72.6 million.
Computer Programs and Systems shares have climbed 2 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $30.70, a rise of slightly more than 1 percent in the last 12 months.
