MOBILE, Ala. (AP) _ Computer Programs and Systems Inc. (CPSI) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $11.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Mobile, Alabama-based company said it had profit of 78 cents.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 69 cents per share.
The healthcare information technology company posted revenue of $70.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $70 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $20.5 million, or $1.43 per share. Revenue was reported as $274.6 million.
Computer Programs and Systems shares have risen almost 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $27.88, a climb of almost 2% in the last 12 months.
