MOBILE, Ala. (AP) _ Computer Programs and Systems Inc. (CPSI) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Mobile, Alabama-based company said it had profit of 22 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 55 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 70 cents per share.
The healthcare information technology company posted revenue of $66.8 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $70.4 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $14.2 million, or 98 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $264.5 million.
Computer Programs and Systems expects full-year revenue in the range of $270 million to $280 million.
Computer Programs and Systems shares have increased 29% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $34.65, a climb of 32% in the last 12 months.
