LEXINGTON, Mass. (AP) _ Concert Pharmaceuticals Inc. (CNCE) on Thursday reported a loss of $21.8 million in its first quarter.

The Lexington, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 93 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 62 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $1 million in the period.

Concert shares have declined 19% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 45% in the last 12 months.
