On a per-share basis, the Billerica, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 16 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 20 cents per share.
The medical technology company posted revenue of $22 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $21.4 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $43.4 million, or 74 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $89.8 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit 72 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $1.28.
