Six New Partners
In addition to completing acquisition of two offices in Florida, Day Pitney has announced six attorneys have been elected partners, effective Jan. 1. They include Alexis S. Gettier, Sebastian M. Lombardi, Ruth S. Moskowitz, Robert G. Rahilly, Jennifer L. Solberg and Jonathan S. Zelig.

Alexis Gettier is a trusts and estates partner in the Stamford office. She assists high net-worth individuals, including same-sex married and unmarried couples, with tax and estate planning while counseling them on the structuring of gifts and business succession planning. She also advises families and fiduciaries in the administration of complex estates and trusts, as well as clients with substantial art portfolios. Gettier received her J.D., cum laude, from Temple University. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Sebastian Lombardi is a transactional partner in the energy and utilities practice group in Hartford. He assists energy clients with all aspects of transactional and regulatory matters in power and gas markets. He is a member of the team of lawyers serving as general counsel to the New England Power Pool. Lombardi received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Ruth Moskowitz is a trusts and estates partner in the Greenwich office. She counsels individuals and families on estate planning including gift tax advice, will preparation, trust agreements and related instruments. She works on complex trust and estate issues including estate tax audits, advising fiduciaries on their duties and responsibilities in managing trusts and estates, and advocating for individuals and corporations in trust and estate disputes. Moskowitz received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
Robert Rahilly is a transactional partner in the Stamford office assisting clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startup ventures with commercial real estate matters. He represents lenders and borrowers in all aspects of commercial real estate financing transactions. Rahilly received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Jennifer Solberg is a transactional partner in the Parsippany, New Jersey, office. She represents clients in the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate and assists clients with the financing and leasing of commercial properties, as well as with the workout and amendment of commercial real estate mortgage loans and complex title issues. Solberg received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Connecticut School of Law and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
Jonathan Zelig is a litigation partner in the Boston office. He represents insurers and other large companies in complex litigation and arbitration proceedings. He has experience advising insurance companies in disputes over opioids, asbestos, e-cigarettes, data privacy, intellectual property and health-care compliance. He regularly assists multinational corporate clients. Zelig received his J.D. from Yale Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts.

Murtha Cullina has announced attorneys Patricia L. Boye-Williams, Marilyn B. Fagelson and Kristen L. Zaehringer have become partners and Catherine A. Cuggino has become counsel.
Patricia Boye-Williams practices in the firm’s municipal and energy, environmental and utilities practice groups. She has represented renewable energy developers and renewable energy off-takers, including municipalities. She is a former Connecticut assistant attorney general and served on the Farmington Town Council. She received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Marilyn Fagelson chairs Murtha's insurance recovery practice group. She works principally on complex commercial litigation, insurance policyholders and appellate practice. She is a member of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association, and she has chaired the insurance section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She received her J.D. from Hofstra University.
Kristen Zaehringer is a member of the firm’s litigation department. She regularly represents clients in state and federal court and administrative agencies. She serves on the District of Connecticut Federal Grievance Committee and the Local Civil Rules Advisory Committee. Zaehringer co-chairs the Connecticut Bar Association Federal Practice Section and in 2015 was named one of Fairfield County’s Top 40 business people under 40. She received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Catherine Cuggino is a member of Murtha's business and finance department and real estate practice group. She represents buyers, sellers and lenders in commercial real estate transactions. She also assists clients with land use and zoning transactions, leasing negotiations and dispute resolution. She prepares and files land-use applications before Connecticut boards and commissions. Ms. Cuggino is the Vice Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association's Commercial Finance Section Executive Committee. She received her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
Robinson & Cole Lawyer Appointed
To Soup Kitchen Advisory Board
The New Covenant Center, one of the largest soup kitchens and food pantries in the state, has appointed Robinson & Cole lawyer Charles F. Martin III to its advisory council.
Martin is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Development Group, representing hundreds of clients in commercial leasing and financing transactions, joint ventures, economic redevelopment projects and the acquisition and disposition of commercial real property.
Opened in 1978 as a soup kitchen “to help the neediest in greater Stamford meet the most basic need for food in a dignified and respectful environment,” the center serves 600,000 meals each year, becoming one of the largest soup kitchens in Connecticut and one of the only ones in the state open 365 days a year for three meals daily. The Center also now operates the largest food pantry in Stamford and one of the largest in the state, sustaining 400-plus families each month.
In addition to serving on the advisory council, Martin will lead the center’s community outreach program.
