Conor McGregor returns to the UFC on Saturday night when he takes on Donald Cerrone.

The biggest star that MMA has ever produced has not fought since he was submitted by the undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov in a one-sided and incredibly controversial bout back in October 2018. Cerrone, 36, has lost his last two fights and has not won since outpointing Al Iaquinta in May 2019.

McGregor’s biggest career pay day, however, came away from the UFC and was in the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather, where he was estimated to have earned £80m.

The Irishman also takes huge earnings from his business ventures, a clothing line named August McGregor as well as his Proper Whiskey range have led to McGregor predicting he will ‘be a billionaire by 35’.

For now, his net worth is estimated to be around the £250m mark, pretty decent for a man in his early 30s.

The fight against Cerrone is believed to earn McGregor a minimum of £5m, although he predicted a much higher pay day of ‘£50-60m’.

McGregor’s return against Cerrone is just his second in MMA over the last four years.
