HOUSTON (AP) _ Contango Oil & Gas Co. (MCF) on Wednesday reported a loss of $16.8 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of 69 cents. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 42 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $21.7 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $58 million, or $2.71 per share. Revenue was reported as $78.2 million.
Contango shares have decreased 31 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.45, a decline of 29 percent in the last 12 months.
