New Contract for ManTech
ManTech International Corporation (MANT) recently secured a prime contract worth $33.5 million from the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (:CTTSO). The new contract will entail ManTech to provide scientific, engineering, technical, and administrative support to CTTSO.
The company has been chosen by CTTSO to quickly deploy advanced solutions support for the global war against terrorism. ManTech’s relationship with CTTSO is expected to prove beneficial in the long run by raising its productivity through effective research and development. Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (:SETA) services will also be provided by ManTech to CTTSO and its subordinates.
Contract wins have been one of the strengths of ManTech. Recently, in December 2012, ManTech was awarded a $69 million contract to provide information technology and knowledge management support services to the U.S. Army PEO C3T Military Technical Solutions Office (MilTech). The steady flow of contracts helps the company retain its formidable position in the industry.
ManTech delivers a broad array of information technology and technical services solutions to U.S. federal government customers, focusing primarily on critical national defense programs for the intelligence community and Department of Defense. The company currently provides support to critical national security programs to approximately 60 federal agencies through 1,000 contracts. Additionally the company supports major national missions such as military readiness, terrorist threat detection and information security.
However, the company needs to be wary of its competitors, which includes formidable names such as Lionbridge Technologies (LIOX) and Innodata Inc (INOD).
ManTech currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). One of its competitors, EBIX Inc (EBIX) carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
