Control4: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Control4 Corp. (CTRL) on Monday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $30.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Salt Lake City-based company said it had profit of $1.11. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 44 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 43 cents per share.

The provider of in-home automation and control services posted revenue of $72.5 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $73.1 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $43.8 million, or $1.60 per share. Revenue was reported as $272.5 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Control4 expects its per-share earnings to range from 8 cents to 11 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $61 million to $63 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Control4 expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.18 to $1.25 per share, with revenue ranging from $295 million to $301 million.

Control4 shares have climbed 21 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $21.23, a decline of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
