SANTA FE, Mexico (AP) _ Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB. de CV (VLRS) on Friday reported first-quarter net income of $27 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Santa Fe, Mexico-based company said it had profit of 26 cents per share.
The operator of low-cost airline Volaris posted revenue of $371 million in the period.
Controladora Vuela shares have climbed 63 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 49 percent in the last 12 months.
