Corn and soybean futures rise, pork prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose or were flat Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was flat at $6.60 a bushel; September corn rose 8.75 cents to $5.345 a bushel; September oats were flat at $3.6025 a bushel; while August soybeans rose 9 cents to $14.41 a bushel.

Beef prices rose, while pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose 0.50 cent to $1.2245 a pound; August feeder cattle added 0.05 cent to $1.5185 a pound; August lean hogs slipped 0.40 cent to 97.35 cents a pound.
