CorvisaCloud Continues Strong Momentum With Office Expansion and Hiring Surge

Recent Funding, Product Development Spurs Job Growth and Tech Innovation in Milwaukee and Midwest

MILWAUKEE, WI--(Marketwired - May 15, 2014) - Cloud-based communications provider, CorvisaCloud LLC., today revealed the expansion of their Milwaukee office in the Schlitz Park business campus, along with a hiring commitment to support their growing customer base and operations. The expansion will help CorvisaCloud build upon its current staff by adding approximately 100 jobs in software development, sales, marketing, project management and technical support. The new hires will spread across the Milwaukee, Chicago, and Tampa offices during the next year with heavy hiring taking place this summer and fall.

The office expansion comes on the heels of $30 million in funding from parent company Novation Companies, Inc. (OTCQB: NOVC) and the opening of a Chicago office in the River North neighborhood last summer. With only a 9.6 percent vacancy, River North is a booming submarket that is largely considered the city's tech powerhouse and a catalyst for future growth for both young and established companies.

In Milwaukee, CorvisaCloud's in-depth remodel will increase the office to over 35,000 square feet, making space for a 100 seat training room to support client training and the numerous community meetups CorvisaCloud hosts, a new 24/7 network operations center, and multiple collaboration spaces. CorvisaCloud's expansion reflects the company's commitment to growing the local tech community while creating a working environment that fosters creativity and innovation for employees.

"CorvisaCloud's rapid growth has caused us to outgrow our existing office space faster than anticipated. The additional space will allow us to address our immediate growth needs and maintain the traits that are most important to our employees -- an open floor plan with dedicated spaces for teamwork as well as creative personal spaces to help employees find inspiration," said Dennis Casey, vice president, Customer Success, CorvisaCloud. "We are committed to creating an environment that reflects our culture and ethos as well as an office where employees enjoy coming to work every day."

The Midwest is cementing its reputation as an exceptional area for startups and tech companies to grow and pull from a ready pool of talent. In 2013, the Midwest generated approximately $1.1 billion in VC funding, according to the National Venture Capital Association. In Illinois, the Illinois Science & Technology Coalition found that in 2013, computer services-related industries surpassed high-tech manufacturing employment. Additionally, a Dice survey identified the Midwest as the most competitive recruiting market.

Wisconsin was listed in a Manpower report as one of the top five states for job growth, with engineers from educational powerhouses Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University and University of Wisconsin-Madison being snatched up quickly by local businesses. Additionally, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker recently devoted a budget toward entrepreneurship and innovation, including $6 million for seed accelerator and capital catalyst programs. CorvisaCloud's office expansion and hiring commitment illustrate the company's dedication to playing a key role in Milwaukee's tech revolution.

"CorvisaCloud is the ideal tenant for Schlitz Park -- a growing business that's adding downtown jobs and committed to creating a unique workplace culture that attracts and retains employees. It's been exciting to watch them grow and succeed here," said Gary Grunau, Schlitz Park developer. "Our renovated office, gathering and outdoor spaces along with a distinct selection of amenities have been designed for exactly this type of tenant -- a great company with savvy leadership."

As part of the company's ongoing commitment to innovation, CorvisaCloud recently rolled out its hosted voice and SMS platform in effort to extend the flexibility and customization options of their business communication solutions. The CorvisaOne platform allows customers and developers to easily address the exact needs of their business or contact center by giving them the ability to build voice and SMS apps from scratch or leverage and customize a la carte components of the cloud-based CorvisaOne product suite, which includes inbound and outbound contact center solutions, and business phone systems (PBX).
