MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (AP) _ Cott Corp. (COT) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $10 million.
The Mississauga, Ontario-based company said it had net income of 7 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 6 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.
The maker of soft drinks, juices, teas, flavored water and energy drinks posted revenue of $609.3 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $601.4 million.
Cott shares have dropped slightly more than 7 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed slightly more than 7 percent in the last 12 months.
