PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ Covetrus Inc. (CVET) on Thursday reported a loss of $33 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Portland, Maine-based company said it had a loss of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 17 cents per share.
The animal health technology and services company posted revenue of $1.07 billion in the period.
Covetrus shares have decreased 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $11.21, a drop of 62% in the last 12 months.
