LEBANON, Tenn. (AP) _ Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $50.4 million.

The Lebanon, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of $2.09 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.05 per share.

The restaurant operator posted revenue of $739.6 million in the period.

Cracker Barrel expects full-year earnings to be $8.95 to $9.10 per share, with revenue expected to be $3.05 billion.

Cracker Barrel shares have climbed nearly 1% since the beginning of the year.
