The "Rail Transit Industry Developments in Australia" project was commissioned by the University of Queensland. Upon analysing Australia's rail equipment market and taking consideration of the dynamic factors of future need, the report projected the developing trend of the market for next 5 to 10 years, primarily focusing on the major cities Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra.

The report serves as guidance for future rail equipment companies to participate in construction projects in Australia and promote the development of the local rail transit industry.

A valued member of the Australasian Railway Association (ARA), CRRC focuses on the development of Australia's public transit industries and strives on solving pain points of transportation through technological innovation and improved production efficiency.

Immersive, autonomous and green, the next-gen metro train was presented at the event, achieving GoA 4, it is one of the lightest fully automated trains in the world, with a state-of-the-art system providing optimal acceleration, braking and cruising speeds. The train has also been specially designed for rush-hour by reducing the minimum time gap between two scheduled trains to 85 seconds, 20 percent shorter than the average waiting time.

The new train was designed to be comfortable and convenient for all, it's wheelchair-accessible and equipped with aid services for passengers with hearing difficulties.

Gao Kang, Press Spokesperson of CRRC said: "CRRC always insists on an open, innovative and sharing strategy that contributes to the sustainable development of economy, society and environment. As we share the trends of Australia's transit market over the next decade in the newly released reports, we're also unveiling the world's first metro train built with all carbon fiber composite materials, a lighter and greener design that carries CRRC's vision for future metro transit and will push forward 'material revolution' and upgrading."

Over 20 years, CRRC has built its reputation as a renowned brand in Australia, delivering quality products and services. Its partnership with Downer gave more than 800 double-deck EMUs to the Sydney.

"Australian governments, both state and federal, are investing at unprecedented levels in rolling stock and infrastructure, government investment is approaching USD150 billion at last count, this opens up enormous opportunities for rail companies, especially for companies like CRRC which has the reputation as a leading-edge supplier," explained Herbert.
