WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Curo Group Holdings Corp. (CURO) on Monday reported second-quarter profit of $16.8 million.
The Wichita, Kansas-based company said it had profit of 36 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 52 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 42 cents per share.
The consumer finance company posted revenue of $264.3 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $270.3 million.
Curo Group expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.55 to $2.80 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.15 billion to $1.17 billion.
Curo Group shares have risen 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $10.46, a drop of 61% in the last 12 months.
