DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) _ Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $80.1 million.
The Davidson, North Carolina-based company said it had profit of $1.86 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.90 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.77 per share.
The engineering firm posted revenue of $639 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $639.5 million.
Curtiss-Wright expects full-year earnings in the range of $7 to $7.15 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.51 billion to $2.55 billion.
Curtiss-Wright shares have risen 24% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $126.88, a drop of roughly 5% in the last 12 months.
