SUGAR LAND, Texas (AP) _ CVR Energy Inc. (CVI) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $51 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Sugar Land, Texas-based company said it had profit of 59 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 52 cents per share.
The diversified holding company posted revenue of $1.91 billion in the period.
CVR shares have climbed almost 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $37.58, an increase of 69 percent in the last 12 months.
