Cytokinetics: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) _ Cytokinetics Inc. (CYTK) on Thursday reported a loss of $26.5 million in its fourth quarter.

The South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 48 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $9.4 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $106.3 million, or $1.95 per share. Revenue was reported as $31.5 million.

Cytokinetics shares have climbed 15 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.25, a fall of 5 percent in the last 12 months.
