MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. (AP) _ CytoSorbents Corp. (CTSO) on Thursday reported a loss of $3.9 million in its fourth quarter.
The Monmouth Junction, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 17 cents per share.
The blood purification therapy company posted revenue of $7.4 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $19.3 million, or 60 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $25 million.
CytoSorbents shares have risen 45% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $5.58, a decline of 30% in the last 12 months.
