REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) -- Shutterfly Inc., an online photo and stationary products company, has promoted insider Dan McCormick to senior vice president and chief operating officer.
McCormick, 47, has worked for the company for nine years, most recently as senior vice president and general manager. He will be Shutterfly's first chief operating officer.
Shutterfly said that McCormick is a seasoned leader who has helped grow the company. Shutterfly, based in Redwood City, Calif., owns its namesake brand, along with Tiny Prints, Wedding Paper Divas and more.
Shares of Shutterfly fell $1.86 to close at $54.25 and were unchanged in after-hours trading following the announcement.
