Danaher 3Q performance tops analysts' estimates
Danaher 3rd-quarter profit climbs, results beat Wall Street's expectations
Industrial and medical equipment maker Danaher said Thursday that its third-quarter net income climbed 9 percent as revenue increased. Its results topped analysts' expectations.
NUMBERS: For the three months ended Sept. 27, Danaher Corp. earned $597 million, or 84 cents per share. That compares with $548.7 million, or 77 cents per share, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 6 percent to $4.67 billion from $4.42 billion.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected earnings of 83 cents per share on revenue of $4.62 billion.
FUTURE: The company anticipates fourth-quarter earnings between 91 cents and 96 cents per share. Analysts expect 96 cents per share. Danaher reaffirmed its full-year adjusted earnings forecast of $3.37 to $3.42 per share. Wall Street is looking for $3.41 per share.
STOCK: The shares closed at $69.15 on Wednesday. Year to date, the stock is up 24 percent.
