PIRAEUS, Greece (AP) _ Danaos Corp. (DAC) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $446.6 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Piraeus, Greece-based company said it had a loss of $4.07 per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, were 21 cents per share.
The shipping company posted revenue of $112.1 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $366.2 million, or $3.34 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $498.3 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $2.70. A year ago, they were trading at $4.69.
