The Dance Floor Was Packed All Night at This Fun Summer Wedding
This couple had their wedding day priorities right: they wanted to honor family and tradition, and they wanted a rockin' dance party. To fulfill the first, Denae Brennan Events hung 1000 paper cranes folded by family and friends of the couple, to symbolize happiness, prosperity, and luck – plus, the installation looked amazing! Before dinner, they had all their guests sing a prayer that has been passed down through the bride's family for generations. And for that second priority, they had some help from Bluewater Kings Band, who had the dance floor packed all night long – even BEFORE dinner was served. Now this is the kind of wedding you want to get invited to, but luckily for us, we can experience it all through Laura Ivanova's photography.
Maria and Jimmy discovered the River Farm in Rochester through a family friend and knew it was the perfect place for their summer nuptials. The couple’s priorities were a meaningful ceremony, great food, and a rocking dance party. They incorporated family traditions, such as the 1,000 paper cranes folded by the groom’s mother and other family and friends (a Japanese symbol of happiness, prosperity, and luck), and a prayer sung by all of the guests before dinner that has been passed down through the bride’s family. The dance floor was packed (they even danced before dinner!), and guests enjoyed the bride’s favorite treat – ice cream sandwiches – as a late night snack. The groom’s surprise serenade to the bride was a highlight of the night!
