GLD Partners Donates Technology to LA Students

Private investment firm GLD Partners, LP, said it is donating computers, software and internet connectivity devices for low-income Los Angeles County students and families. The donation follows a financial grant made by Gordon Philanthropies, Inc., the firm said in a statement.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, GLD said the goal is to continue to assist in addressing the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The donation has been made in connection with local social service organizations that will be responsible for distribution of the items and financial assistance, it said.

The pandemic has devastated businesses and threatened the educational development of local area students who have been forced to learn remotely and rely on their own resources for schooling. GLD made a prior donation in the spring of essential PPE to local area hospitals and organizations.

“This donation is a continuation of GLD’s efforts to assist in the response to the devastating impact that COVID 19 has wrought in our community,” said Daniel Gordon, Managing Director of GLD. “While there is now hope in sight for an end to this tragedy, the coming months will undoubtedly continue to put strains on local students and their families many of whom lack access to proper technology to aid in their schooling and development.”
