Darci Lynne Farmer Likely ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 12 Winner?

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 has just aired four episodes, but as early as now, there are already predictions regarding who could bring home the $1 million grand prize.

Gold Derby came up with a poll wherein fans of the hit NBC reality TV competition were asked to name the contestant that made them tear up the most. The results showed that 12-year-old singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer left the biggest impact on viewers. Farmer received a golden buzzer from Mel B, which means she will be heading to the live shows sometime next month.

The same publication also claimed that Farmer’s audition video received the most views online this season. The views suggest that a lot of the viewers are interested to know what Farmer’s act is all about. This could also potentially result in the 12-year-old performer becoming the big winner of “America’s Got Talent” Season 12.

Last year, a similar thing happened with Howie Mandel’s golden buzzer pic, Grace Vanderwaal. The young contestant’s audition video became the most-viewed clip of Season 11. Vanderwaal was named as the winner last year, and she also headlined multiple shows in Las Vegas after bringing home the $1 million grand prize.

Meanwhile, Farmer won the hearts of the judges and audiences when she shocked them with her strong musicality. While performing a ventriloquist act with her puppet, Petunia, Farmer sang a song.

After her big moment on television, she spoke with Access Hollywood to share what it was like getting the first golden buzzer in Season 12. According to Farmer, she never expected that she would get a golden buzzer from any of the judges. She added that she never anticipated that her audition clip would be such a huge hit. Farmer shared that the adorable Petunia wasn’t exactly her first puppet, but it was with Petunia that she got to relate the most.

Farmer will be competing with the other golden buzzer recipients this year, namely, Light Balance, Christian Guardino and Mandy Harvey, as well as the other acts that will make it through the eliminations.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 12 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
