While David Walliams is no stranger to dressing-up, he’s taken things to a whole new level with an impressive impersonation of his Britain's Got Talent co-star Amanda Holden.

Ahead of his stint as host of the National Television Awards tonight, David Walliams has shared some snaps of himself assuming the disguise of Holden, as well as Simon Cowell.

Walliams looked eerily like Holden as he donned a glittery pink dress and blonde wig to pose like his co-star.

He shared the photo to Twitter along with the caption: "The ⁦@OfficialNTAs tomorrow night 7:30pm ⁦@ITV @AmandaHolden @BGT."

Transforming into Cowell, Walliams donned the BGT boss' signature aviator shades along with a fully unbuttoned, chest-baring white shirt tucked into some high-waisted black trousers.

Although, it's not the first time Cowell has had the pleasure of being impersonated by the best-selling author before.

Walliams teased that the impersonations would be making an appearance in Tuesday's ceremony, where he and Cowell are also up for the Best TV Judge gong.

It comes as a report from The Sun stated that David Walliams would be debuting the new Little Britain at the National Television Awards.

The skit is said to be incorporating Britain's Got Talent, as the new character will audition for the programme in front of the usual judging panel comprised of Walliams, Cowell, Holden and Alesha Dixon.

Earlier this month, the comedian revealed that he and Matt Lucas would "definitely" be making more of the series, which originally aired on the BBC.

Although he did suggest some of the shows original characters, which included Ting Tong the Thai mailorder bride and cross-dressing ladies Emily and Florence, may no longer be acceptable in 2020.
