NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - March 23, 2016) - The Decathlon and NBC Sports Group announced today that NBCSN will provide coverage of The New York Decathlon on Saturday, June 25, at 1 p.m. ET.

The New York Decathlon is the flagship of an expanding athletic event series with Boston, Chicago, Houston and San Francisco hosting their inaugural Decathlons later in 2016. Combining elements of the Olympic Decathlon and NFL Scouting Combine with contemporary fitness drills, The Decathlon's 10 events test speed, strength, stamina and agility with everything from a 40yd dash to a 500m rowing contest. The two-day event offers both an individual and a team format.

Since its debut in 2009, The Decathlon's athletes ranging in age from 22 to 67 and representing 300+ top businesses have raised more than $6 million for pediatric cancer research with proceeds from The New York Decathlon benefitting the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
