GOLETA, Calif. (AP) _ Deckers Outdoor Corp. (DECK) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $196.4 million.
The Goleta, California-based company said it had net income of $6.68 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $6.59 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $5.31 per share.
The maker of Ugg footwear posted revenue of $873.8 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $826.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in March, Deckers expects its per-share earnings to be 10 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $360 million to $374 million for the fiscal fourth quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $388.8 million.
Deckers expects full-year earnings in the range of $7.85 to $7.95 per share, with revenue ranging from $1.99 billion to $2 billion.
Deckers shares have risen slightly since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $128.42, a climb of 50 percent in the last 12 months.
