Deere lower on cautious outlook

Deere's earnings and revenue both beat expectations, but management is cautious amid "lingering economic concerns in many parts of the world." The company also said cool and wet weather has delayed crop planting and construction activity in North America. That has DE lower by 3 percent before the opening bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Agilent Higher on Earnings Beat

Agilent Technologies reported quarterly profit of $0.77 a share, better than the $0.67 expected by analysts. Revenue missed by a narrow margin and guidance was weak, but the company increased its share buyback and announced cost reductions. A gains 1 percent in early trading.

Bernstein Cuts Research in Motion

Research in Motion/BlackBerry was downgraded to "market perform" by Bernstein. The price target was lowered to $15. BBRY, which closed at $15.25 yesterday, falls almost 2 percent in the premarket.
