SINGAPORE--(Marketwired - Nov 20, 2015) - Deliveroo, the on-demand premium food delivery service that helps bring meals from Singapore's best-loved restaurants right to customers' homes and offices has officially launched in Singapore today.

In line with the celebration, a mob of kangaroos descended upon the Central Business District earlier today, delighting office workers with free cupcakes from the famed Plain Vanilla Bakery. 5,000 cupcakes were given away, all stamped with Deliveroo's iconic kangaroo logo.

First launched in 2013 by William Shu and Greg Orlowski, Deliveroo is focused on providing the ultimate food delivery experience. Customers are able to order meals from a variety of independent and high-quality chain restaurants, and have them conveniently delivered to their homes and offices in an average time of 30 minutes. Restaurants can take advantage of Deliveroo's proprietary end-to-end technology and logistics platform to offer delivery for the first time, without the hassle of running their own fleet of drivers.

With the launch, Singaporeans can now get food delivered from more than 140 premium restaurants across the island, including Cucina Italian, Food for Thought, and Cedele and enjoy it in the comfort of their own homes or offices. With a flat delivery fee of $3.00 and a simple ordering process, orders can be made via their website at www.deliveroo.com.sg/ .
The Deliveroo app will also be available very soon.

Tristian Torres, General Manager of Deliveroo Singapore, said: "Singaporeans have an appetite for great food, but are often too busy to go out to eat. Deliveroo solves this problem by delivering premium food to their homes and offices with a few finger-taps or mouseclicks. With our service, Singaporeans will now be able to enjoy high quality food in the comfort of their own homes and offices, in an average time of 30 minutes."

Deliveroo also believes that their service will benefit independent and premium restaurants across the island.

Torres continues: "We believe that with Deliveroo, high-end restaurants will now be able to offer their customers a delivery service without the hassle of running their own fleet of drivers."

Deliveroo currently delivers to five zones across Singapore, mainly in Tanglin, Bukit Timah, the Central Business District, Kallang, and Katong.
