DeliverySwift to Enter Last Mile Grocery, Pet Supply and Pharmacy Delivery and Legalization of Hemp Passes Senate and House, AppSwarm Corp. Announces

TULSA, OK, Dec. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- AppSwarm, Corp.  (OTC: SWRM) announced today that the 2018 Farm Bill has passed in both the House and Senate, and is expected to be signed into law by the U.S. President before the end of this year.

The Company further announces plans to expand their last-mile delivery platform DeliverySwift for small retail stores, grocery, pharmacies and pet stores.

The company is already in talks with several Cannabis dispensaries and are looking to sign-up their first 5-10 dispensaries before years end. Having a keen focus on the rapidly growing Cannabis dispensary market, DeliverySwift will also expand its focus on traditional products in the grocery, small retail, pharmacy, pet supply as well as many other smaller retailers needing to get their product to a consumer’s door.

Grocery Delivery Market

The Food Marketing Institute estimates online grocery sales will reach sales of $100 billion by 2025, or about 20% of the grocery retail market, though today only about 2% to 4.3% of industry sales originate online.

In September, Walmart announced a new last-mile delivery pilot program, called Spark Delivery, which focuses on fulfilling customers’ online grocery orders. The retailer is working with delivery logistics platform Bringg, a company that offers an Uber-like or Amazon-like level of visibility to retailers’ delivery operations.

The business model that Amazon and grocery retailers like Walmart and Kroger utilize is primarily focused on customers shopping for groceries inside their stores and ordering groceries online to be delivered to the home or picked up at the store.

DeliverySwift will work on adding the smaller mom and pop groceries who cater to specific areas and thus already have established a brand and business relationships with their local customers. DeliverySwift will provide a platform to assist busy families seeking to take care of their weekly grocery shopping, or just the individual who just needs bread and milk for the fridge.

Pharmacy Delivery

Last-mile delivery services can help smaller mom and pop stores better compete with Amazon, Walmart and big-box online stores in the sale of pharmaceuticals and other in-store items.

Pet Supplies

Along with groceries, pet supplies could be another attractive target that DeliverySwift could provide a solution for. Anyone with a cat or dog knows carrying cat litter or large bags of dog food could be very heavy for a person on the go. DeliverySwift Pet operations will work to deliver pet supplies to your door to make sure you have all you need for that special household friend.
