Detour Gold Corporation (DGC.TO) ("Detour Gold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed its previously announced bought deal public offering (the "Offering") of common shares at a price of $26.50 per common share for aggregate gross proceeds of C$106,000,000. The Offering was conducted by a syndicate of underwriters led by BMO Capital Markets (the "Underwriters") and the Company has granted the Underwriters an option to purchase up to 600,000 common shares at the offering price, exercisable for a period of 30 days from the date hereof, to cover over-allotments, if any. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering for working capital during the ramp-up of the Detour Lake Mine and for general corporate purposes.
As at November 30, 2012, construction of the Detour Lake project was 97% complete and gold production is expected to commence in January 2013, ahead of the original schedule.
