Deutsche Bank to pay $1.9 bil

The German bank's payment will settle a lawsuit by the Federal Housing Finance Agency over mortgage-backed securities. The suit alleged Deutsche Bank (DB) failed to properly disclose information about residential mortgage-backed securities it sold to federally backed mortgage financers Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FMCC) from '05-07. FHFA had sued 17 banks and has also reached settlements with JPMorgan Chase (JPM) and UBS (UBS). Deutsche Bank exited that business earlier. Its shares rose 1.4% to 46.58.
