CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ Dicerna Pharmaceuticals Inc. (DRNA) on Thursday reported a loss of $39.7 million in its fourth quarter.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company said it had a loss of 58 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 8 cents per share.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $7.1 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $26.4 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $120.5 million, or $1.76 per share. Revenue was reported as $23.9 million.
Dicerna Pharmaceuticals shares have declined 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $19.41, an increase of 61% in the last 12 months.
