The Suwanee, Georgia-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 2 cents per share.
The diagnostic services and imaging company posted revenue of $27.1 million in the period.
Digirad expects full-year revenue in the range of $100 million to $105 million.
The company's shares closed at $1.63. A year ago, they were trading at $4.05.
