PLANO, Texas (AP) _ Diodes Inc. (DIOD) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $30.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Plano, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 62 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax expenses and asset impairment costs, came to 42 cents per share.
The semiconductor components maker posted revenue of $268.4 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $1.8 million, or 4 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $1.05 billion.
For the current quarter ending in April, Diodes said it expects revenue in the range of $261 million to $277 million. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $280 million.
Diodes shares have fallen 8 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $26.39, a rise of slightly more than 5 percent in the last 12 months.
