MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2015) - Diversified Trust, an employee-owned Southeast-based comprehensive wealth management firm with over $5 billion in client assets under management, today announced the addition of two highly experienced financial services industry executives to its board of directors:
- James R. Lientz, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., partner at Safe Harbor Consulting, LLC.; and
- Sue W. Cole of Greensboro, N.C., founder and managing partner of SAGE Leadership & Strategy, LLC.
Additionally, Lientz has been elected as Diversified Trust's board chair, succeeding Hal Daughdrill. Daughdrill served as Chair for 18 years overseeing significant growth and strategic development. He will assume the title of Founder and Managing Director and will continue to be based in the company's Atlanta office.

Lientz and Cole's addition comes at a time of continued growth for Diversified Trust. The pair join an existing board which includes Diversified Trust executives Larry H. Sue W. Cole
Cole is the Founder and Managing Partner of SAGE Leadership & Strategy, LLC, a boutique advisory firm. She has over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including corporate lending and wealth management. Prior to founding SAGE, she was a Principal with Granville Capital, Inc., a hedge fund of funds investment firm, for five years, as well as the Regional CEO for the Mid-Atlantic Region of United States Trust Company, N.A. At United States Trust Company, she was responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and leadership of five offices in North Carolina, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Cole was President of North Carolina Trust Company, the predecessor to U.S. Trust Company of North Carolina. She currently chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Martin Marietta Materials, an S&P 500 aggregates company. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Corporate Directors, Biscuitville, Inc., United Way of Greater Greensboro, and the Greensboro Science Center. Cole is the former chair of the North Carolina Chamber as well as the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. She has previously served as a vice chair and trustee of the Center for Creative Leadership and as a trustee at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
James R. Lientz, Jr.
Lientz is a Partner with Safe Harbor Consulting, LLC. He has a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors with more than 35 years in the banking industry and nearly eight in government service. He has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career, including as President of C&S Bank of South Carolina; President of NationsBank of Georgia; and President MidSouth Division, Bank of America. In the public sector, Lientz served as the first-ever Chief Operating Officer for the State of Georgia from 2003 to 2010, to which he brought a number of innovations.
