Do This Once a Day to Keep Your Phone Running Fast

·Assistant Editor

You know those moments when your smartphone is running so slowly that you’d rather just turn it off? Well, that’s exactly the answer.

A great tip dished out by cell phone carrier customer service agents and Apple Genius Bar employees alike is to power your phone down and back up regularly – maybe even once a day – to keep it running well.

Why? Think of it in the same you do a computer. A reboot clears out your PC’s cache, refreshes its RAM, and closes all the nagging apps left running in the background. A reboot of your Android phone or iPhone does all the same things.

After all, that phone in your pockets is essentially a tiny computer.
