Dollar General has been coming for our wallets by getting into the home decor game (...not to mention their ever-present amazing deals), and now they’re set to make our excessive shopping habits even easier by going digital.

The company is working on their very own “click and collect” initiative, which allows customers to order things online and then be picked up in store. While similar programs exist at stores like Target and Walmart, Dollar General is one of the first discount stores to get in on the craze. And yes, this means that you can do all of your discount grocery shopping from the couch.

“What we’ve tried to do with technology is to come up with a strategy on how to enhance the shopping experience,” Chief Information Officer Carman Wenkoff told the Wall Street Journal of the new move.

The store already has a mobile app that lets shoppers total up their items so they know what they’ll be paying before they get to the register, and at some locations customers can pay directly through the app so they can ditch the line. And while the chain's demographic was traditionally customers between 35 and 55, this new initiative from DG aims to get younger customers in the door. The company has not yet disclosed just how many locations will implement the new program, but fingers crossed it includes stores in your area.

Dollar General has established their relevance as a grocery store by having exclusive product collaborations with brands like Pringles and Little Debbie's, and this new program will allow customers to enjoy the convenience of grocery shopping from the comfort of their own home without breaking the bank. Praise be.
