Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones went to his first Pro Bowl last season and got his first interception this year in Sunday's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But now his season could be over.
The Dolphins fear Jones has a torn rotator cuff and could be done for the remainder of the season, according to NFL Media. Jones underwent tests Monday to determine the severity of the injury.
🙏🏾 for my guy @reshadjones9 for a speedy recovery! Get back out soon and crush it brother— Vontae Davis (@vontaedavis) October 17, 2016
Jones, a fifth-round pick of the Dolphins in 2010, has started 80 games in his career. He has 51 tackles and four pass breakups in six games this season. Jones' second-quarter interception of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger led to a Dolphins field goal.
"I wish all our guys played with as much effort and heart as that guy plays," Dolphins coach Adam Gase said of Jones following a Week 3 win over the Cleveland Browns.
