In fact, each of last year’s top-10 sector ETFs would be considered growth plays, but of those 10, only the First Trust Global Wind Energy Fund (FAN) has traded higher over the past 90 days.
Value ETFs have picked up some of the slack and the objective here is to examine some value funds beyond familiar names such as the Vanguard Value ETF (VTV) and the iShares S&P 500 Value ETF (IVE) . The following ETFs, accompanied by year-to-date returns and asset growth, can be used as alternatives or complements to IVE and VTV.
