MARIETTA, Pa. (AP) _ Donegal Group Inc. (DGICA) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $4.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Marietta, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of 17 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, came to 13 cents per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $198.8 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $197.2 million.
Donegal shares have increased slightly more than 4% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $14.24, a climb of 3% in the last 12 months.
