WESTMOUNT, Quebec (AP) _ Dorel Industries Inc. (DIIBF) on Friday reported a first-quarter loss of $8.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Westmount, Quebec-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 18 cents per share.
The maker of bicycles, child safety products and home furnishings posted revenue of $625.6 million in the period.
Dorel Industries shares have declined 35% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 56% in the last 12 months.
