MANALAPAN, N.J., April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Ragui Sadek, MD., is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Professional in the field of Medicine.

Dr. Sadek is currently a practicing surgeon at Advanced Surgical and Bariatrics of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and has been employed there since 2006. The company offers various medical services and surgeries to their patients, with a focus on bariatric and laparoscopic procedures, specifically. Dr. Sadek's professional expertise includes all facets of bariatric surgery.

Other than his role as a surgeon with Advanced Surgical and Bariatrics, Dr. Sadek is, additionally, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Director of Bariatric Surgery Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Dr. Sadek has been recognized as a world leader in laparoscopic bariatric surgery and has over 1,000 minimally invasive procedure under his belt. He is known for being one of the first surgeons to perform natural orifice surgery (NOTES) treatment for GERD and obese patients.

His outstanding work as a medical professional has gained him recognition and membership with many prestigious associations. Dr. Sadek is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastro Endoscopic Surgeons. Additionally, he was recognized as America's Top Surgeon for three years in a row, from 2009 to 2012 and, in 2004, was honored with the Teaching Excellence Award at SIHU in 2004.

Dr. Sadek obtained his Medical degree from the University of Alexandria in 1996. Some years later, he completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed his fellowship in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at Staten Island University Hospital and in trauma and critical care at UMD New Jersey Department of Trauma and Critical Care Surgery.
