Dua Lipa Shared an Instagram of Her Dramatic Cat Eye
Dua Lipa may have been quick to reveal her "New Rules" for getting over an ex, but we're wondering whether she'd like to share any of the rules she used for achieving her cat eye. The singer continued her streak of jaw-dropping beauty moments, sharing a 'gram of her amazing weekend cat eye.
After debuting green hair and collaborating with M.A.C. on an iridescent eye shadow, Dua Lipa has moved on to elevating our cat-eye game, and shared a selfie of her wings. The Sunday, November 11, Instagram post also featured the singer casually lounging in bed in knee-high boots, wearing a multipatterned dress.
With the colorful outfit, Dua Lipa wore gorgeous, bold eye wings. For her cat-eye take, the singer completed a thick, traditional wing that extended to just below the end of her brows. She added an extra touch of the unexpected with a tiny inner wing, too. An additional Instagram post showcased the eye makeup, which was complemented by Dua Lipa's sky-high black lashes.
She completed the impressive eye routine with fuller brows and a nude, pink lip. To top if off, she showcased a manicure that featured nails in hues of blue and green.
We may not know the secret to the singer's winged liner, but makeup artists have provided Teen Vogue with some tricks of the eye-makeup trade. It will take some practice to find your inner cat-eye artist, but as makeup artist Tracy Alfajora suggested, you may want to start by finding a good area to practice and apply. "To get an even line, try propping your elbow on a table so that you aren’t holding your arm up in the air,” Tracy said. "But really, it’s all about practice. People who rock cat eyes every single day do it the best."
