DuPont & Brother Collaborate

DuPont (DD) announced that DuPont Authentication ??? which provides market-leading brand protection programs, anti-counterfeit solutions and document security systems ??? has collaborated with Brother Industries, Ltd. on a worldwide project to help guard its laser and inkjet supplies from illegal counterfeiting. By employing DuPont Izon 3D security holograms along with the DuPont Traceology eVerification system, users may now easily check the authenticity of the Brother supplies they buy.

Brother’s anti-counterfeit initiative entails a high-security hologram on supplies packaging, which carries a unique reference number, permitting instant visual authentication and verification that can be completed online or via a mobile application, in-store, at home, or elsewhere.

DuPont and Brother have joined forces to provide a strong global consumer protection program which includes easy overt validation technology, and DuPont Traceology eVerification to assist customers in buying genuine Brother supplies which they know they can rely on. Brother has worked hard to bring quality products in the market but the risks of counterfeit supplies are quite serious and Brother’s reputation is at stake. However, DuPont’s Izon and Traceology can now help to guard against that.

Brother is a leading global maker of laser printers, inkjet printers, multi-function center, fax machines, P-touch electronic labelers, typewriters and sewing machines. DuPont, which provides innovative solutions to its customers, is scheduled to release its third quarter 2013 results on Oct 22.

DuPont currently holds a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold).

Other companies in the chemical industry worth considering are Air Products and Chemicals Inc. (APD), FMC Corp. (FMC) and BASF SE (BASFY). All of them hold a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
