From Woman's Day

Two familiar faces from Dancing With the Stars will be showcasing their moves on another dancing-related show. Dance pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess are gearing up to be choreographers on the brand new Fox show Flirty Dancing, where instead of vying for a Mirrorball trophy, the contestants will be looking for love. The uniquely designed dating show — where contestants perform a pre-learned dance routine together during a blind date — will be hosted by none other than actress and dancer Jenna Dewan.

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming season.

When will Flirty Dancing air?

The show will premiere on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m. on Fox.

What's the format?

Singles looking for love will learn their half of a choreographed dance routine. Then, on a blind date without speaking to their new dance partner, they will perform the routine together.

The show is based on a U.K. version by the same name. But to keep things interesting (and a little more competitive), the American version will have a bit of a twist, according to the Fox website. Rather than simply having two single people dance one routine together, the feature singles will perform a different choreographed dance with each of two potential love interests. They'll then choose which one they felt they had the strongest connection with.

Who will be on the show?

Sadly, it is unknown who the dating contestants are at this time. But in addition to Chmerkovskiy and Burgess, Kat Burns of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Dominque Kelley of Broadway’s In The Heights, and So You Think You Can Dance‘s Travis Wall, Tyce Diorio, Chloe Arnold and Jonathan Redavid will also be on the show choreographing routines.
